Pea protein can be found on Body & Fit. I am proud to say that we are partner of Body & Fit. This mean will gain a small percentage if you decide to purchase a product from their shop via this link.

What came first? The chicken or the egg? In our case the EGG. I have personally been a big fan of Body & Fit, even before I started blogging. They deliver high quality products for a good price. I like to uphold these quality standards for this blog as well and will never recommend irrelevant or unethical products.

Muscle recovery

Exercise induces muscular injury leading to inflammation and oxidative stress, which can create changes in gene expression.

Perfect for muscle building: pea protein is a complete protein and contains larger amounts of BCAAs (branched-chain amino acids) compared to other plant protein sources. BCAAs have been shown to stimulate muscle protein synthesis.1 This pea protein contains 83 gr of protein per 100 gr, which is a really big percentage.

Plant-based proteins are correlated with lower blood pressure, improved cardiovascular health, and lower rates of certain types of cancers.2

This pea protein supplement is made with just peas (100%), there are no colourants, sugars or flavours added to it. This is a good thing, the cleaner, the better.

It is recommended to mix 25-35 gr with plant milk or water, and add other ingredients to give some more taste. For example, cacao powder, banana, berries, spirulina, honey…

How much protein should you take a day? If you are trying to build muscle, there seems to be an agreement between 1.6 – 2.2 g/Kg body weight.3, 4
